Hi everyone,

I'm about to go on a tiling course and hopefully become self employed, could anyone tell me what is the best type of van to use, I was thinking of the Renault Kangoo, but there are other similar vans on the market and not really sure which to go for.😕

Ford Transit Connect, with SLD. Try looking at the BT website for some of their ex fleet deals. Thats where mine is from and its bang on. 🙂

I have gone for a Vauxhall Combo, it drives like a car and is very comfortable, it has a SLD, which is handy. A frined of mine has a garage that specialises in Renaults, the reason being that Renaults go wrong a lot. Also when I was looking for a van, the mechanic at one garage told me to steer clear of Renaults, so that was good enough for me.

I got a combo too mate, 2000 model, spotless with 58k on the box..... does the job for me at the moment..but very shortly will be requireing something bigger, maybe a transit connect or VW transporter. But this is only because i plan to start doing larger jobs that involve plastering and bathroom installation etc.

I have big plans for someone who only just learnt how to use a wash boy properly.

Oh yeah, make sure you have a roof rack, very handy for picking up plasterboard and stuff
