FLEXIBLE Additive..FLEXMASTER..

Flexmaster is a highly advanced acrylic based additive designed to increase flexibility,
durability and adhesion strength when added to Powder Tile Adhesives and Grouts.
ADVANTAGES:
• Ideal for extra flexibility and durability of mix.
• Timber floors.
• Underfloor heating.
USES:
Flexmaster significantly increases flexibility, durability and bond strength to wooden,
concrete, non - porous and tiled substrates and is an essential additive for areas
subject to movement, vibration and excessive temperature change. It is suitable for use with all the Tilemaster range of powder products. It can also be used as a primer or
sealer to ensure adhesion to certain types of substrate.
APPLICATION:
Mix Flexmaster with water to make a milk to the ratio that you require for your chosen
role, e.g. as a primer 4 parts water to 1 part Flexmaster. We recommend that you stir the milk mix from time to time to avoid possible settlement. As a precaution mix the powder with a small amount of milk to start until you have become familiar with the workable time that your chosen product offers you. Mix the powder with the milk and stir thoroughly until you have an even lump free buttery consistency.
DILUTION RATES:
Category Water Flexmaster
A 1 litre 5 litre
B 1 litre 1 litre
C 2 litre 1 litre
D 3 litre 1 litre
E 4 litre 1 litre
STORAGE: Store in a cool dry area. Protect from frost.Shelf life 12 months.
PACK SIZES: Available in 5, 2.5 and 1 litre bottles.

You can usually add a latex (or admix) to a standard adhesive to get it more flexibe than a standard flexi-adhesive (single part).

BAL do AD1 Admix to add to their standard adhesives which is like their GT1 for their standard grouts to make them more flexible than the single part flexible versions.

What happens is that manufacturers of adhesives and bi-products,will say you have no guarantee if you don't use their products combined. The fact is, that most polymers added to powder will impart the flexibility, they just want you to buy their stuff. As a retailer now I must play by the rules and adhere to the same policy....but off the record, I used to buy liquid polymer from what used to be Tile City ( now Tile Clearing House ) £5 for 5 litres...and add it to everything, adhesive, grout the lot...never had 1 comeback....Gaz
