What happens is that manufacturers of adhesives and bi-products,will say you have no guarantee if you don't use their products combined.The fact is, that most polymers added to powder will impart the flexibility,they just want you to buy their stuff.As a retailer now I must play by the rules and adhere to the same policy....but off the record, I used to buy liquid polymer from what used to be Tile City ( now Tile Clearing House ) £5 for 5 litres...and add it to everything, adhesive,grout the lot...never had 1 comeback....Gaz

You can buy a polymer additive that creates both flexi adhesive and grout...as gaz say's the brand does not matter as long as it's suitable for the job in hand.....whether it's adhesive or grout...over kill of the flexi is better than putting to little in..just means more of a sweat on when washing off...

To be fair dave...the Germans are responsible for great things in most industries..they developed their technology from the money we gave them after the second war....every credit to them for that.....Gaz

It isn't a pee take it is a true fact Pete...the allies payed massive compensation to Germany and Japan to help re-instate their industries...in many cases it backfired, as they have evolved at a faster rate than we can keep up with....Gaz
