Apart from the family stuff the tiles will blow on Chip so it will come back to bite you.
lay 6mm plywood over the chip glue it first with good quality wood glue and use chipboard screws at 152mm centres otherwise you will have more grief than family.

Plus as the saying goes "One Life Live It" you will need to get acknowledged for who you are rather than being used as a tool.

Mosaic Girl, there is no talking to him, he is allways right period. Have fallen out before and it is just not worth it. As for the beer bit,i never drink with him as its not worth the trouble, I like a laugh and take the **** when i drink, the father in law does not like to have the **** taken unless he is doing it. So not drunk with him since the last fall out, he finds it strange cos when i go out with mates i go on a right bender lol!

Going down the no more ply route, couple of beads of glue and 8 screws a sheet and no pre drilling, bit of primer jobs sorted, best of all its only £7.99 for 1200x600 6mm sheet:thumbsup:

I would choose 9mm ply if i was plying 6 mm seems a bit thin, and i know the b/s is 15mm lol!

Thanks everyone I will let you know how i get on:yikes:
