What would you quote for this?

How did i price this? I didn't get the job as she thought I was expensive!!

10m2 with 12x12 polished marble flooring.

All in I quoted £230. That included sealing as well. I didn't think that was a bad price really, maybe even a bit cheap.

It was a newly built conservatory so nothing to remove first.

Opinions??? Your prices?

that was a cheap price you put in i would have probably put in £330 plus mats the person who has got the job probably doesnt know anything about marble ,white ady,sealing,ect you should have told her to give you a ring when the other person ruins it

Yeah i think your price is about right. Don't know what I was thinking really. Just figured that i'd get in done in a day but thats not really the way to do it i guess.

£30ish a m2 plus sealing at what £20? Adhesive and grout?

To be honest I wouldn't worry mate. That quote was well under priced and if she wants cheaper then let her have a ruined floor. Looking at £35 - £40 sqm plus adhesives etc and sealing I'd of been £400.
Some people just don't understand and think all your doing is trying to rip them off. Top and bottom is she'll get exactly what she pays for.
You shouldn't compromise your prices to get a job.

I would have been charging around £350-£400 plus materials for that, the customer was a fool to turn you down at that price.

I get the feeling she never really wanted it done. She asked for a price over the phone to start with but I said no i'd have to see the job to quote it.

I don't think it's my approach either as I think i'm quite professional. Nevermind! Her loss!

I would have been £400 plus all materials. Whichever way you look at it, to do it properly it is 2 days work minimum.

Try not to worry about it. There are some people that will never pay a fair price for a job, so let them employ the cowboys

BUT I just REALLY don't want to get my recommendations for being cheap, I want to get them for doing a good job. Chicken and egg situation i suppose.
