i will be off to weston turville , to hack-off -,re-render the top mosaic tile band of a swimming pool, it has suffered freeze /thaw ,expansion over the years being an outdoor pool,and will probably need coping stones fixed as well what have you tilers go on then ,anything exiting ???

Hack up floor and level it it up. Retile it.
Finish some kitchen splashbacks
hack off 2 walls, make good then retile.
Sat and Sun Small wetroom to tile,

Tile floor in holiday campsite place 2 miles down the road from me. Done the gents already, ladies and baby changing area to do this week............then, if I can, carry on with a bathroom for a plumber. 1750x300 tiles as well.

The title says it all - a Gents toilet!
Shower block on a campsite as it happens and if I have to say so myself, it's going to be very nice.
Walls are done, cubicle are in, just got the gullies to tank and tile.

Got to go back to a house i did a couple of weeks ago to make and fit three cupboard doors in the bathroom and some under cupboard lighting in the kitchen. After that I've got another full bathroom to rip out put in new suite tile etc.

well the van is packed, the B&B just booked £25 quid a night , so not to expensive i tend to shop about until if find something about this range,after all it's only a bed ,telly, tea, and a bit of scran,well swimming pools alway start to pick-up this time of year for a few months then drop off a bit, years ago you had to make your money in the spring summer only, it was hard in them days,nowadays with people going more for indoor pools it is year round if you are lucky,

Got my first kitchen splash back of the year to do, not a big fan of splash backs (don't get much enjoyment or job satisfaction from them) but, this is in tumbled marble so looking forward to it.

Clearly I don't have anything on this week but it has been that long since I did some tiling that I've forgot about me hating it so I think I'm ready to do another family job to see how I feel about it. I'm sure I wont change my mind afterwards. But I do miss the grafting!

Gary ask the owner to pump to waste , and close the skimmer valve's, as i have done, it will be empty for me tomorrow then i have a small submergible with me to get the last bit out if needs be

he has tried to pump it out with the pool plant machinery but he says its backing up in the changing room toilets and says it need to be pumped out into the street gulley ,his house and pool are under the water table for the area and he has a major plant room in the pool house and a major plant room in the basement of the house so I need to source a decent pump and 200 feet of hose

be aware Gary that it is illegal to pump chlorinated water in to the general water course, and if you get caught you can be heavily fined :yikes:

Thanks for the tip, I will tell him that he will need to sort out the draining of the pool

OH just one very good one for anyone working on swimming pools, is make sure you put in writing to your customers that you will not be responsible for the integrity of the swimming pool shell while you work on it as it is subject to external forces while empty, .
and especially if you empty it.
but better still leave the emptying to others ,that know the risks . ..... hope this helps as well guys.

Bathroom floor to tile in black granite tiles. Have to marine ply floor take out toilet and washbasin etc etc. Nice week I think/hope. Havent been working for a few weeks since having surgery on my left hand (carple tunnel - had right one done Aug last year). Just hope hands last the course! lol
