Which brand of Grout do you prefer to use?

I used to use Dunlop flexi grout, or ordinary dunlop grout with flexi add, but neither gives as good results as bal, I've spotted a store who does mapei grout and might have to give it a try...Hmm anyone used to mapei?
its pretty horrible to work with, grouted 16m2 bathroom walls today with mapei and it was a chore , its okay for floors and small wall areas or large format porcs ..

Typing this as my wife laughs at me!

wall:
prefer Dunlop with a bit of add (and a nice breeze) for contract whites, and similar finish to the normal Bal and superflex wall
wont use their wall and floor (especially limestone) after noticing quite a bit of colour variation (and the appearance of rubine red pigment granules leaving red streaks across whilst washing off) look closely BAL users got the same granules appearing in the newly packaged Bal Superflex Wide joint...Same stuff Chaps

natural stone: I Like the Ardex FS for finish but not on a hot day please!

floors: same makes, tried others but like most things in life you learn to work with what your used to and any bag of grout supplied by the customer would only need time to acclimatise to...

She's really laughing now!

HAS TO BE BAL EVERY TIME. I HAVE USED OTHERS IN THE PAST, BUT FOR STOCK AND PRICE I NORMALLY GO WITH BAL. HAD A CUSTOMER LAST MONTH WHO PROVIDED DUNLOP FOR THE FLOOR. BIGGEST PAIN!!!:mad2:

Mapei everytime...in regards to the grout going off quicker/consistency the tech dept can sort that you for you.:20::hurray::20::hurray::20:

Bal all day long for me............... Webber is pretty good too.

would never ever touch mapei grouts again as long as i'm tiling, used it on 4 jobs and four times it dried patchy even though it was all from one mix. Same thing happened to Wivers too

Mapei Grouts are great for their different choices. Flexible, Widejoint, Choice of 18 colours and not the boring grey, ivory etc etc Jasmin is a great colour choice, did you know you get longer shelf life with the Alu-Pak packaging? Also efflorescence free so no more disruption with salt spots appearing that you get with some leading brands. Mapei's prices are really competitive as well..
