Clearly having that attitude has cost them somewhat then over the last few years. I wonder if they'll still claim to be "the professional's choice" and use wording like "the leading brand" in their marketing.

I am one of the converts - when I started, I used BAL all the time. Now I am Mapei. I hate BAL grouts with a passion. Their silicones dont match grout colours closely. The only item of theirs I use not is the variflex - and not much of it - as it is useful for tiling under white goods / repair jobs when time is of the essence.

Superb adhesive & grouts, brilliant value for money through CTD.

Dont think you can beat Butech, (Porcelanosa) bit pricey, but top notch adhesive.
