upping the ante on training now, a pigeon came into my possession this morning so I thought I'd give him a whirl on "cold game retrieval"

I had collies as a kid. Never had any training of any sort, but I'd play with them for hours every day during the summer school holidays. They were literally on an understanding and totally knew what I wanted them to do. One fetched my shoes from outside once when I couldn't find them and was searching inside for ages. Crazy stuff.
