Which tile adhesive/grout to use?

Avoid adhesive and grout combination tubs, they're not particularly fantastic quality.

Do you have a Tile Giant store near you? Tile Giant

I'd recommend going in there and speaking to one of the assistants in the shop and asking for their advice. Tell them what you are planning to do - bathroom, what tiles, size of room etc and they'll be able to help you.

Plus you'll probably find they're more competitive than screwfix.

you're better off with a powdered adhesive rather than a dispersion (tubbed) adhesive. What tiles are you using, ceramic, porcelain, natural stone? What is the substrate you are tiling onto? stud walls, masonry walls,? if you give us some more info, we'll be only too happy to steer you in the right direction:thumbsup:

iM WITH dOUG ON THIS ONE...are the walls skimmed or plasterboard?More details are neede in order for advice.

Hello,

I am new to tilling and looking at doing my bathroom, I am unclear which is the best product for this. Is it better to get a seperate grout and adhessive product or a product that can do both in the same tub.

On screwfix I am looking at buying the BAL Blue Star Non-Slip Tile Adhesive 5L and Dunlop Mixed Anti-Bacterial Grout White 1.5kg are these any good?

Thank You in advance,

Neil
go for weber set plus loads of working time in the bucket and will fix porc stone glass the lot and at 10 pound a bag for white its great value i would normally advise ultracolour by mapei for grout but be carefull it goes of rapid

Hello and thanks for advice so far.

I am tilling with cermaic floor/wall tiles onto a freshley skimmed plaster wall.

Is the powder easy to mix for a newbie?

Thanks again,

Neil

Powder adhesive is easy to use, just mix what you are comfortable with, maybe enough for a metre at a time and mix more as you get quicker. You would have been better if the walls were not skimmed as bare plaster board takes more weight. Check the weight of the tiles before you start to make sure they are not too heavy.
