@Cstiling how long have you had this trapped nerve? I've just had most of the past 9 months off work with a bad slipped disc which was pressing on my sciatic nerve. Wrote it off at first as just a trapped nerve or a muscle strain, but soon realised it was worse than that. NHS waiting times and 3 months and an MRI scan later revealed the true damage but it wasnt for another 5 months I had surgery. The delay now means permanent nerve damage is highly likely.
Get it seen to, dont be fobbed off by people telling you its just a trapped nerve as it could be more serious. You will know your own body and lucky for me I kept fighting doctor's and physios diagnosis' saying I was right. If I hadnt, there is no way I would have been seen so soon. Some people are fobbed off for years!
Good luck

As @Plan Tec Tiling said . I have also had a dodgy back in the past and even paid to have an mri done privately . Didn't result in any surgery but at least I knew what was going on .

Hi @Plan Tec Tiling
Did it last Monday, did the same thing last year but the other side !
Been to physio this week and it's eased a lot .Have a load of stretches to do and I'm going to find myself a Pilates class .
Physio said this would really help my core strength.
Should of done it last year.had another warning from my body now tho .
Don't want the pain from Monday back again ever !
On the bright side I get to go to my son's sports day today

Just bare it in mind though mate. I did everything you are doing for it to all end in surgery. Even thr surgeon couldn't believe how bad it was when he actually operated.
That's interesting . Did they not do an mri and if they did are you saying he was still in disbelief as i thought an mri was as good as opening you up .
