Ok now im really really angry thought id vent my anger out on all of you.

You remember that I placed an advert a couple of weeks ago and that it had a wrong phone number . Well I pushed for compensation and because threatened I would take my complaint further, as a good will gesture they said they would offer me 3 days for the price of 1 day, so i agreed .

Looked in the paper 2nite and guess what they made the changes that I wanted but put the same wrong phone number again . Im now effectivley with out advertising now for 4 weeks.

What would you do ?

You need to confirm that you gave them your correct phone number the second time round if so then it is their fault. you should now tell them that you want a full refund/advert placed for free or you will call in trading standards. I called them in for a similar incident for my Father, the problem was resolved within 3 days.

was you sent a proof to read?
If not you should have , ask why they never sent it for starters. Then tell em that you were solely going to concentrate all youre marketing budget through them but now youre thinking twice about it, don't settle for a 3 week for 1 offer either tell them that you want youre ad upgraded to a Box ad (thats if it wasnt already) and then you will reconsider based upon their compliance and abilities to rectify this issue.

hi guys just to clarify
the 1st advert to go in waswith the correct number on the paper work but incorrect phone number in the advert and that was proof read by me in there office, the last 2 adverts ive now tried to place have been dealt with over the phone. At no time have They not mention /offered for me to see a copy as they said they will use the original with the correct phone number that they have on file.

They are in so much trouble lol x

Would push for free add for 4 - 6 weeks and tell them unless they do not comply you will take them to small claims court which does not cost much. Also tell them that you are getting legal advice to see if you can sue for loss of potential earnings. Worth the bluff but I would push them as far as possible.

I'd not be giving them any cash. And I'd be buying a different local rag to read in the evenings, if there's one.

I'd want a full refund. And the three ads for free. And it isn't a gesture of good will and tell them that when they start the blurt out their standard apology line, clearly they make similar mistakes often as they have a gfesture of good will system in place, that's terrible. It's a correction to their error. And not like-for-like either. As you've not had the ad for weeks!

What I would do Julie is not speak to who you have been speaking to. Ask to speak to their manager. Then when you get them ask to speak to their manager. Then when you get them ask to speak to their manager.....when they just wont let you go any higher, or you think you have gone as high as you can go, explain nicely and calmly what has happened to you and how incredibly dissapointed you are. Don't lose your temper. Then say something like ' I know you don't normally mess up like this, and I still want to advertise with you, but if you were me how would you feel?' Then if they empathise ask 'em for what you want as a solution. If you can get high enough up the ladder I bet it works......Good Luck

hi
Hope ure all well .

just an update.

i went into the office , as I walked in there were loads of people in there, so i walked up to the desk and said ure all incompetent and I want to speak to a Manager. She came down to see me ,i told her what i thought infront of the whole room lol. then she had the cheek to offer me credits for the 2 advert that went wrong, errrrr noo i told her i thought "she was avin a larf" and I want more than that . She said ~I could have the same deal 3 days for 1 , not good enough i told her. She then offered me 2 fulll free weeks in a box to cover mon - fri and the free papers, I could not get anymore out of her . I have put a letter in the post saying that if i get anymore adverts with the wrong details then I will be takin it further to the small claims court.

Oh and by the way ive now finished my course so im a real life tiler lol x
