I live in a flat which can best be described as a semi detached detached bungalow on top of a block of shops. We have problems cleaning 5 windows which overlook the street and the only way to clean them is from the street.

I have been looking at Water Fed Pole Systems but they seem to be a nightmare to trawl through as there are loads of them. In some cases it seems to be as complicated as tiling. In that if you don't have the right tools forget it. The systems range from £150- £1000's.

I was wondering if anyone can offer any advice on purchasing a good system which would enable me to do my property on a monthly basis. The perfect solution would be for me to get a reliable Window Cleaner with the kit and pay them but iit seems an impossible task where I live.

Any help, advice or pointers would be greatly appreciated.

Find some local enthusiastic rock climbers and get them to absail down and clean them. OK not very helpful, but I was always told to think out of the box!

Might not be ideal, but you could get a high pressure cleaner/water blaster. Load it with mild detergent, and just spray the windows while standing in the street (if they're not too high up), and rinse off with clean water. Just make sure to wear a rain coat

buy a window wizard from woolworths if you want to see how it works just put window wizard in your search.
