wood floor

help have used topps tile flexible floor adhesive which has not stuck to floor or that well to the tiles you can scrape it off the floor and the tile quite easily does any one know why? topps blame the wood say it was contaminated ??

I'm sure there was another similar post to this recently,did you prime the floor? what kind of tiles are they?

Can you give us more info? What wood,what tile,what preparatoin just as much info as you can. It will help us give a more informed opinion

18mm ply screwed at 5-6" apart the tiles are porcelain the floor is new with new joists spaced at 300mm . 2 weeks later all the tiles came up in about 12mins useing a wall paper scraper (10 sqm ) after i had found the first one was loose

Not sure if it's relevent, but was the ply primed at all?

I think you need a technical call out for the adhesive...have you still got some left...?

Was this the "Toppfix" powdered in a grey bag with yellow writing?
Reason I ask for clarity is that Topps also sold/sell a ready mixed adhesive which they claim to be suitable for wooden floors.

I also know that there have been "issues" of late with Palace adhesives.
My own RSF took hours to go off today. Fortunately I only used it on the bottom course of tiles so fingers crossed....

thanks for the reply it was a grey bag which states on it for wooden floors the tiler has the bag so can not tell you the colour of the writing but i do know it was made by palace
