Personally i would call you a crook.
I have just come back from another mammoth leaflet drop and while I was delivering them I was thinking about your 'helpful' comments to my post Sir Ramic. Now I am a guy who is fairly laid back I would have said, live and let live and all that, and obviously in a forum you expect, and even welcome, other peoples perspectives and points of view. Some you will not agree with, and some you will learn from. For instance I have decided that I am going to give this particular customer something back, as pointed out by a few, this could really benefit me in the long run re reputation and refferals. And even if I reduce the profit I am still left with a good whack. This brings me back to your comments Sir Ramic, that I am a 'crook', and in a later post putting me in the same category as a 'builder from hell'......and you have deduced that I am a 'crook' based on one post have you? What if I judge you Sir Ramic just based on this one post...... I might deduce that you are a rude, self opiniated, pompous, self righteous ****.......but are you? The truth is I don't know, because I wouldn't make a call on your character, because I don't know you! So please feel free to give me your point of view, I may learn from it.......but please don't insult me personally. Thanks for all your advice and opinions guys:thumbsup:

Feel better now?
Glad you made the right descision. I feel you will benefit 3 fold now.
1, because you will give her money back thus showing you do have morals.
2, you will be showing that the guy who originally priced her job was over charging too.
3, and lastly she will (assuming you do a good job, to her satisfaction) will be singing your praises on all 3 accounts to all her family and friends.

You are welcome to your opinion, i have broad shoulders.
All the best with the job

OK OK, maybe I learned a big lesson from this post lol. Done job today, plain tiles, so I suggested I put in a diamond border and a little four diamond feature under the cooker hood for her to make it look a bit more interesting, she loved that idea! Looked great, then told her that the job was far easier than I had thought it was going to be and that she could reduce the cost by £100. I thought she was going to imlode with joy lol. She then went next door and got her neighbour and I have measured up her bathroom, not just for tiling, but a full re-furb. Then as I was going she gave me a peck on the cheek and pushed a £50 'tip' in my hand! Now I know this ain't gonna happen all the time........but I am feeling about 10 feet tall at the moment lol. Thanks for all your advice guys :grouphug:
