work coming in

I thought I was going to struggle this month. Got a call last week and started with a new builder, not great money but pays the bills. Then today, I started a job for another tiler who gives me work, finish that job tomorrow and its very good pay, got 60 m2 ceramics for a builder in 3 weeks time, then tonight got a call for another company I quoted for on the weekend, three bathrooms and a kitchen/ laundry/toilet floor, over 125 m2 ceramic & porcelain to start a week monday...............things are picking up at last............:hurray:

Great to know.. A lot of the vibes we got at last years exhibitions is that there is a big appetite to take on remodelling projects for homes due to the crap interest rate on savings, and adding long term value to property. The Euro is shot too at 1.1 to the pound so travel ideas are on ice. Maybe people will drop a ski holiday and do up the bathroom instead.

They reckon it will all be sorted out by next week..........where have I heard that before!!

As for the job I finished today...............:mad2:did the walls yesterday, only 12 m2 in an attic wet room, did the wet floor this morning. All been tanked etc by the builders son, a plumber. 1st of all, the out pipe was .40 by .20 from the corner of the room........:mad2: to add to that he couldn't get the pipe low enough so I had to build up with addy. And when I got out of the former, the rest of the floor to the door went the other why and not level, so more packing out. Finally got away at 5pm............:incazzato:

Oh, they loved it, and I loved the rush hour traffic home.............which was 1 hr 40 mins later.:yikes:
