We are working off recommendations but very few enquiries from unknowns. Still got enough work for about a month in advance but phone is not ringing much.

Job last week, plumber told me that his work load has been halved and some builders have stopped building as the pads aren't selling. I saw one this week giving a merc away with their new builds???? Anyway not all doom and gloom and sure it will start to pick up again.

Aye new builds slowing down as market quiet.Brother inlaw works for a large building firm and he told me as well that there not selling as much.

It does seem a lot of sites are slowing down due to poor sales......:yes:

The thing is u have to keep an eye on the markets around the world , especially in america, their economy looks like it is struggling and it will probably overspill to this country. People will then be very wary of splashing their cash in the same way since the last recession in the early 90's. Not being a gloom merchant but u have to look at the big picture and be prepared....it could go either way over there so fingers crossed.

when i was sub contracting for a tiling firm in preston we did alot of work for Rowland Homes based in preston they were due to build 18 sites in the north alone they have had to cut it to just 6 because of poor sales
