Suppliers around here are pushing a large (30cmx30cm) mosaic effect tile for swimming pools. I was always led to believe that conventional swimming pool tiles were smaller (25cmx12cm ) so that when the pool filled they would flex as the walls flexed. I am a bit worried about using larger format tiles even if the walls and floor are absolutely flat, just in case they crack. Anyone had experience with these or any engineers feedback . All thoughts welcome !

i don't know about that,never tiled a swimming pool,but ive seen many a pool tiled in much bigger tiles that these

on a job I was on recently, the wall of the pool was tiled with 1200 x 600 tiles, no probs from what I've heard.

I think that if the prep work is carried out properly, you check that the tiles are suitable to be completely submerged in water (a lot of tiles are not) you should be fine and the tiles are correctly installed and grouted you will be fine.
