Ripping out existing floorboards

Biggest crowbar you can fit in the room .

Depends if they're tongue and groove or not. If they are then claw hammer and crowbar if they're not I'd take the first board out with a hammer and chissel/lever then take the rest out with a pallet breaker which would preserve most of the boards for reuse.

What does everyone use to cut the boards at the wall? Multi tool?

Multitool, sabre saw, even a handsaw.

Floorboards are simple enough to remove once you’ve cut into the floor, life is made easier with two claws.

For chipboard flooring I’ll cut the tongues off and then drill over the nails with a hole saw and the board just lifts up over them.

Use a circular saw to cut boards near wall, claw hammer to pull them up

I recently bought a wood blade for my grinder. Dangerous I know but oh so fast for cutting boards, especially at wall edges.

It's pretty scary but just now and again it's very useful. I run it at low speed because if I did manage to snag myself...
Well, I hope it would do a bit less damage!
