Edit May 2024: THIS is a New Show Us Your Work Thread for 2024 Onwards

This is the new Tilers Showcase Forum where we want new tiling work added, with each tiling job you complete having a thread of its own so people can see what kind of work you do, and potential customers can find your work

I thought it was about time we had a thread dedicated to all members of Tilers forums to show us any work that they do.

Be it from installing a kitchen to garden decking. Show us your work! Get those pictures taken, but then do something with them! Actually add them to a thread and some facebook groups with your website link in them etc and it'll help spread the tile love. :)

If you have done a job then please do share it with us.

Pics are a MUST as what is the point of sharing a job without them...

So if you do a job and you take a few pics then please do share it with us.

Lets make it a big thread for all to view and input in.

Thanks Dave ..:thumbsup::thumbsup:

What you can do with the DW24000 and a little imagination, first thing i did was rip some 305 wide travertine in to 100mm strips, then with a long 2 inch off cut i made a jig for doing the decorative cuts
WP_20130205_002.jpg
then using the jig, i started to make the decorative border from the 100 x 450 strips of trav
WP_20130205_003 (1).jpg
then i ripped some more trave to 1 inch and ripped the corner off
WP_20130205_008.jpg
then done some mitres. They are just placed in currently, wont be doing any more work on if for a week or 2 as other projects require my attention.

Nice floor Phil .. goes well with the kitchen... shame about having to insert closures but it happens sometimes.. i have noticed an uptake in this floor type getting popular again..

Thanks Dave, closures have always been a normal part of Geomertic floors, to maintain the overall look of the floor. If you look at the old floors, you will find more closures than full rails in the borders, a bit of artistic licence is a must imo. I know what you mean though. These jobs do not come with an instruction manual. I spent a full day setting this one out.

If we look at the left hand side of the kitchen, I have a full tile on the variable, on the right side against the Aga I have a full tile on the variable, the border goes in half bond, so closures are the only way to go.

It wasn't fault picking Phil .. just a shame when closures fall so small and on light tiles they show more.. taking nothing away from your high standard of work , just saying it is a shame when we try to perfect a job..

Cheers Dave, this is an perfect example of us not living in a ideal world. I did give the client the options ie. two larger closures or one small one, she went for the latter.
