reduce consumption of off-peak hot water boiler - timer? Discussion Threadreduce consumption of off-peak hot water boiler - timer? Electrical Advice

Hi there

I have 2 electric hot water boilers in my house (in France).

They both work with off-peak power, but they run all night long, so they consume way too much

Because of this, I'm looking for a way of reducing their consumption.

For example, I was thinking if I could replace their automatic fuses (top right in the attachment)...

I bought this switch about a month ago to replace an old one, and unfortunately this one doesn't seem to use the old wiring system and my searches have failed to find instructions for this type of wiring so if someone could please enlighten me on how to properly proceed, that would be wonderful. 4A fuse - how common are they ? Discussion Thread4A fuse - how common are they ? Electrical Advice

Was looking at the manual for a Keston boiler and it specifies that the supply must be via a 4A fuse (P30). It strikes me as a rather odd instruction given it's not a standard BS1362 size and that's by far the most likely means of protection it would be connected to.
Presumably if you used a 5A fuse they'd say it invalidates the warranty, and it might blow a 3A fuse (no idea how...

Hi, I'm building a kit car which has only indicators on the stalk so need to add a switch which operates main beam lights, but ideally also works as a flash (but without having to literally switch on and back off again). Does such a switch exist? Ideally it'd be a two way rocker switch with on/off one side and 'on' on the other side which rocks back...

Hi. I'm in the process of getting my qualifications and am taking on some small jobs for family to try and get some experience in.
