I have this Adee Fusadee lightning arrestor in my electrical cupboard, the area I’m in is prone to thunderstorms from spring to autumn so it is needed. However it is missing the 5th fuse in the controller, it’s been like that since we moved in last year. The 4 fuses on the 3 phases and the neutral are all still good but I would like to know if it really needs that final...

I’m looking at installing a camera on my garage. The garage has a 16A breaker for the sockets and 6A for lighting.

Am I able to use some 1mm twin and earth to wire the camera straight into the 6A with the lighting?

Struggling to make the forum useable and losing the will to live. My browser is jumping all over the place, its advert city, worse than any website i normally use. Today has been the last straw and now the actual content is lined up all vertically so i cannot see anything at all.

I have a distribution board controlling conveyor belt in which all auxiliary circuits for start/stop switches, emergency buttons, etc are supplied through 230V/230V separating transformer.where secondary winding is earthed on one end. I've got high Zs readings for all those control circuits (~20Ohms) protected by 2Amp circuit breakers

Hi all. Has anybody else had an issue with installing a wall mounted 4" extractor fan, only to find after 9 months the customer has contacted me to say it is now leaking an oily substance down the wall and ruined the paintwork.

I am trying to calculate a SWA 4 core that will be protected by a 250 amp switched fuse isolator. It is going to supply a 3 phase electric boiler that pulls 209 amps each phase at most. I'm filling in the parameters to an online cable calculator ,when asked for the voltage i've put 400 v, when asked for load in amps i've put 250 amps. Is this correct or should i be putting the total amps 627 because thats the total...
