Re: ** Job of the month July 2009. **

Hello everybody!
I know that this job is not a winner as it is only white ceramic tiles with glass mosaic trim. But atleast I have some work. Better have some modist jobs rather than no jobs, right?
May be I should not even bother uploading it for competition, But I want to share it with you.:20: Job finished 1.July at 13.20:hurray:
!!! the floor is not tiled it is PVC !!! :incazzato:(choice of clients as cheaper option:prrr:) but still look good, innit?

I want to point out that I found this competitions of month real joy. I think it is great idea to share pictures of jobs and opinions and ideas(ex.: shelves last month). I realy enjoy viewing peoples jobs. Big Thank to Dave for coming up with this idea. Or was it someone else? I think it was you innit?

Look forward to see some kickass jobs. Peace

Re: ** Job of the month July 2009. **

Just finished this shower ensuite today. It's a simple, minimalist design but helps create the feeling of space in a small room...the wall tiles are white 50x25cm ceramic, the mosaics are polished marble and the floor tiles are 40x40 beige porcelain, all from Wickes...I used a lithofin porcelain impregnator before grouting, which has given a good shine to the surface and stopped any grout residue building up on the surface...the mirror cabinet is partially recessed to reduce its depth over the basin...the client wanted the mosaics flush with the wall tiles, which was tricky as the walls weren't even/level...I had to build up a layer of adhesive flush with the back of the wall tiles, let it dry then fix the mosaics... hope you like it the finished product...

Re: ** Job of the month July 2009. **

Nice one Davey boy.
Heres my entry, A Kitchen refurbishment, Floors are Trav, Classic Ivory 4 sizes laid in "Versailles" pattern using PCI tilefast 6 flex white.Walls are 4" tumbled marble, 3 different shades laid randomly with tilefast super, Walls and floor grouted with PCI bahama beige grout.
(floor was laid end of last month but I was waiting until it was all finished!!)
I wish I had taken some "before" shots as they had some awful green tiles (badly laid) on the floor and the transformation is huge!!

Re: ** Job of the month July 2009. **

Here is my entry then.

Cappucino marble tiles with an Expresso marble mosaic border. Had to go into all of the cupboards and the toilet (but not the walls, or the kitchen that show in a couple of pictures). It was the first time I had used a border on a floor and I made a mistake when starting laying them after setting out, so ended up with a couple of tricky cuts! All good experience though. Border is placed where customer asked...so wasnt a lot of leeway in moving it to get a "better fit". I made suggestions and got some bits changed, but he was adamant in some of the placing

Re: ** Job of the month July 2009. **

Their is truly some great work on here. This is my entry nothing to flash but thought it was worth showing as I think it all worked well within the room and the customer was over the moon with it.

(Grout joints were still a bit hazy here.)
This one isn't yet sealed.
Will get to it next week.

I have a bathroom in a variety of trav which I will complete by Tuesday.
Waiting for the plumbers to drop their tub in, then I can finish the skirt and waiting for the granite counter guys to set their vanity slabs.
Another hurry up and wait job.
