    Dewalt D24000

Went for the 250/25 for £90 ex VAT but they also do, 105/22 115/22 125/22 Id consider one for my grinder, it be handy for sockets etc if only a bit smaller. Take it you get on well with the inverted A on the grinders?

    Dewalt D24000

I got one of my mates to pick up an inverted A ultra thin blade from Diatech. Hadnt heard much about them but its looking good.

    Dewalt D24000

Sorted, the answer was to buy a new blade. Picked up a porcelain blade this morning and Im now getting good straight cuts and mitres are neat and tidy. Minimal chipping and running true through the saw. Maybe just the stock blade wasn't up to the strength of today's porcelain tile. Thanks all...

    Dewalt D24000

I did a straight cut with the wet saw before the mitre. If I mitre through the middle of a tile it cuts straight but leaves a messy edge that would be noticeable. So it only seems to be struggling when I mitre along the edge of a tile trying to leave that 1mm to ensure a clean leading edge.

    Dewalt D24000

Ok so I have sharpened the blade as suggested by Dave ,cut and measured numerous tiles and have got the saw to a place where its pretty much cutting on line....however tilt the saw to mitre and the cut runs off. I have attached a pic of a mitre cut on a 200mm off cut of tile to show you what...

It's more when cutting L shaped cuts that you require to be true, not so much the normal cut that like you said can be hidden.

    Dewalt D24000

I know what your saying. I'm tempted just to live with it, as I said I don't mitre often at all but theres something saying it's a new saw and if it's not sorted it will end up doing your head in.

    Dewalt D24000

    Dewalt D24000

Found this in a previous post by Peckers and may explain my issue re mitres. dewalt blade 90 degree cuts very good fine clean crisp cuts and cuts very fast too on 90 degree angle and takes slithers off with out a problem. 45 degree cuts if you are doing mitres and you cut your tile with a...

    Dewalt D24000

Defo need to try something, all be it I dont mitre often but would like to have the option. I will try side pressure in case the wheel is just pushing the tile when cutting and see how it goes. David is the DNA any good on ceramic and porcelain? Thats the majority of my jobs.

    Dewalt D24000

Strange, I have tried everything and it seems that just when I have it cutting on line as soon as I flip to mitre it runs off again leaving top of tile cut correctly but by the time the cuts finished the other end still has 2-3mm of material left. Could it be me???....hope not.

    Dewalt D24000

    Dewalt D24000

Hi all, Well the D24000 saga continues. Have been having real issues with setting up the Dewalt 24000, at only a few weeks old and after being used on only 2 jobs have been troubled with the saw running off line. After hours of adjustments I have just about got the saw cutting true in a...
