Strange, I have tried everything and it seems that just when I have it cutting on line as soon as I flip to mitre it runs off again leaving top of tile cut correctly but by the time the cuts finished the other end still has 2-3mm of material left.

Could it be me???....hope not.

probably just the wheel. Try putting a bit of side pressure on with your finger

The standard dewalt wheels are pants , I put a DNA wheel on mine and it made it a different cutter.

Defo need to try something, all be it I dont mitre often but would like to have the option.

I will try side pressure in case the wheel is just pushing the tile when cutting and see how it goes.

David is the DNA any good on ceramic and porcelain? Thats the majority of my jobs.

Found this in a previous post by Peckers and may explain my issue re mitres.

dewalt blade
90 degree cuts
very good fine clean crisp cuts and cuts very fast too on 90 degree angle and takes slithers off with out a problem.
45 degree cuts
if you are doing mitres and you cut your tile with a square edge then turn it on its back and do the mitre this way leaving about a 1mm edge on the front edge of the tile then i did find that the cut tendded to wonder a bit at the end off the run leaving it about a mm wider at the end.

90 degree cuts
very good clean crisp cut once again, but it diddnt seem as quick as the dewalt blade to do the same length off cut and needed a bit more effort to push the tile threw to get the same speed. It also removes thin slithers just as the dewalt blade does.
45 degree cuts
if you are doing mitres as above it is better as it doesent wonder towards the end of the cut leaving it a perfect 1mm all the way down the line.

Never had any probs with mine apart from when I set the blade too low and cut the metal table DOH!

Yeah I checked the blade and its secure......

When cutting on my dewalt I never commit to cutting full depth on first run, I make a few passes first to ensure the blade is not under too much pressure. Try making a few passes along the full length of the tile, cutting in to the tile a mm or 2 each pass then commit to full cut. Once you have mitred all the way through then simply remove the width of the blade from the point of the mitre.... Hope you follow.

Mine isn't 100% true, it runs off about 1mm over a 500mm tile. I've tried adjusting the runner, which didn't help. I think the problem with mine is the last wheel on the bed.. I can feel it pull over slightly when that one reaches the rail.. I should really get onto Dewalt, but if I'm honest, I'm lazy, and that 1mm isn't causing me too much trouble.. Have used it to mitre yet though, so that might change things..
