I know what your saying. I'm tempted just to live with it, as I said I don't mitre often at all but theres something saying it's a new saw and if it's not sorted it will end up doing your head in.

Mine isn't 100% true, it runs off about 1mm over a 500mm tile. I've tried adjusting the runner, which didn't help. I think the problem with mine is the last wheel on the bed.. I can feel it pull over slightly when that one reaches the rail.. I should really get onto Dewalt, but if I'm honest, I'm lazy, and that 1mm isn't causing me too much trouble.. Have used it to mitre yet though, so that might change things..

Yours must be exactly the same as mine,I have just learned to live with(1mm out in 400mm)
1mm out doesn't matter on tiles that are covered by the tiles on the covering wall and any other discrepancy is covered by the colour matched Silicon sealant.

It's more when cutting L shaped cuts that you require to be true, not so much the normal cut that like you said can be hidden.

Ok so I have sharpened the blade as suggested by Dave ,cut and measured numerous tiles and have got the saw to a place where its pretty much cutting on line....however tilt the saw to mitre and the cut runs off.

I have attached a pic of a mitre cut on a 200mm off cut of tile to show you what Iam trying to describe.

Ok, do a mitred cut right through the middle of a full tile and see if it has cut straight.

that shouldn't run off, but that's not how you would normally mitre a porcelain tile.

how did you do the straight cut? Wet saw or cutter. If its a tile cutter you won't make a nice mitre.

I did a straight cut with the wet saw before the mitre. If I mitre through the middle of a tile it cuts straight but leaves a messy edge that would be noticeable.

So it only seems to be struggling when I mitre along the edge of a tile trying to leave that 1mm to ensure a clean leading edge.

its chipping a lot for a straight wet cut.

yes but but you can then just remove the messy edge with a straight cut along the mitre about the width of the wheel. If your trying to remove the back edge along a straight cut then naturally the blade will want to kick away from the tile. Try progressive passes going deeper each time so their are not too much pressure on the blade.
