    Ive spent 10k on tooling for the large tiles so the rate reflects that. What we have to do to get tiles up stairs is dangerous. If HS saw us they would have a fit. Another thing a tile can cost upwards of £600 if we break it we replace it :):)

    Any Prep, daywork or bathroom tiling we charge £200/£220 per day. Floors minimum £30 /£50. As for large format its a joke. Customers don't want to pay what our work is worth. I would like £250/300 a day which is not excessive.

    Sand and cement fibre reinforced down for 4 months before tiling :)

    Yes wet for the screed and electric on existing. Looks like its dropped 10mm

    :eek::eek::eek: This floor has been down for 3 years. The only place it has sunk is where new screed was laid. Anybody seen something like this before ? No tiles cracked.

    Katrina and I always back butter tiles. I think the use of clips gives people a false sense of security. They have their uses but the fundamentals of tiling need to be met first. We always take up the odd tile to see if it has maximum coverage !
