Correct Adhesive For Garage Floor Tiles

Hello, any update on this or updated advice? I'm investigating a similar project. My garage floor (attached to the house) could do with coming up an inch or two anyway because of my slightly downhill driveway, so it makes sense to me to try and add a little insulation if possible before tiling.

    Grouting Mitres

Next question. Does anyone recommend/use a 45 degree trim in a mitre? Seen these Schluter Finec trims that look like they’re designed for it. Would they reduce the chip risk? Or is the chip risk not so great anyway? https://www.protilertools.co.uk/search?category_id=&search=Schluter+finec+

Big clinker and porcelain tiles problem

I know this is an old thread, but just to chime in... I have a big clinker that I've put a brand new wheel on. Having the exact same problem with the porcelain tiles I'm currently laying, which is why I'm now using a wet cutter for everything. My big clinker was mostly trouble free when I did...

    Hello Everyone

Hi everyone, I'm Richard and I'm just on the verge of tiling my bathroom. Previously I've tiled the wall behind my kitchen (old house) using 600x300 porcelain, and more recently tiled my ~15m2 conservatory with 30x30 terracotta/quary tiles. Bathroom is in 600x600 porcelain and includes a...

Porcelain tiles - how to finish edges

I know this is an old thread, but wow, what an inspiration. I'm going to try to achieve this in my bathroom, it'll be a first time for me. I'm a DIYer, but experienced generally. 1600855105 How did this work out in the end?

    Silicon Corners in Shower/Wet Room

Hi all I'm aware that I should be Silicon-ing in the corner of my fully tiled (wet) room. The corners will be butt joints, as in I will tile one wall (with some margin for error) and then tile the other one up to it with a neat gap for Silicon. 1) What gap is recommended large enough for...

    Grouting Mitres

Apologies for the upside down picture (iPhone). Here it is the right way up. I've started cutting tiles - my god they're harder than I remember porcelain being, maybe the last time I did this they were an easier type/manufacturer. Big clinker useless. Wet sawing all of them now, with a new...

    Grouting Mitres

Thanks, I’d read that grout had a tendency to crack/fall out in a mitre joint. Is that not so? My grout is Mapei Keracolor FF, I believe there is an additive for this that makes it more flexible. Would it be advisable to use this? I’ve attached a picture of my tanked bathroom (about the start...

    Grouting Mitres

Hello all, just wondered if anyone could tell me the best way to join porcelain mitres together (assuming I can get the cuts right, I'm a DIYer)? I've seen people say to use resin, if that's right what is the best stuff? I'd be after something white and satin if that exists. Also, do you put...
