Hi
We have just had all our walls and celling skimmed in our bathroom and I wanted to know when the best time is to tile around bath and basin. We are looking at only applying tiles around 2 to 3 tiles high with a line of mosaic tiles in between.
Do I miss coat the walls first then...
Got a bathroom coming up and the customer has built a step to get into the bath. Its built very good and no movement currently boarded with ply but going to over board with hbb. As its my first step I am a litte concerned that the tiles may come away in a few years. Would it be better to use the...
Hi All,
I'm just in the process of refitting my bathroom and am getting close to the point of having to make a decision as to which solution to use for sealing the bath joint where it joins the wall.
At the moment the bath is temporarily fitted and can be removed quite easily if required to...

Morning all! I've been asked to tile a slate bath panel using 600x300 ceramics. The panel has probably been on there for about 50 yrs and when I prime it it just runs off. Does anyone have any experience of tiling onto slate and if so what procedure would advise I followed in order to carry out...
Just wonderd what the best way to seal a bath when theres 20mm gap between the bath and the wall.. I dont fancy bringing the wall down just to bring it forward so was thinking of getting some quadrant trim and sealing it in?... Not my tiling btw lmao
Hi!
I'd really like some professional advice on whether it's possible or not to remove bath trim that has been set in under the lower tile edge without having to remove the tiles.
The trim really needs replacing as its had years of mold, paint and silicon added to it (not by me!) but I really...

Hi all, our plastic bath panel was cracked so I decided to get rid of it and make a panel that I could tile, now I have secured the bath as much as possible using 2x2 and its solid and I have approx 40mm extrusion from side of the bath to tile onto if you know what I mean (had to bring a lip out...
just want some opinions folks:smilewinkgrin:, so you go and look at a job, bath is in position against wall but still can be moved if needed. Walls are all over place and need to be dot and dabbed with 12.5mm plasterboard. How far off wall (existing) would you ask plumber to pull bath forward?

Hi I am installing a new bath (Adamsez Grenada) and I was planning to fit tiled panels to 2 sides of the bath (end and side, other end and side fit along walls)

I am at a loss with this one. How can I fit a 755mm bath in a 780mm space? Walls are brick. I read somewhere that you could 'pack out' the wall with rapidset. If the bath is placed in the middle that would be 12.5mm of packing out on either side. Alternatively 25mm on one wall. Surely there's a...
Ok so, I tile a bathroom. At the end of the bath is a gap approx 500mm between bath and wall. 100mm up the make a raised floor so to cover the waste pipe. The floor is tiled too, and I carry the floor tiles just under the bath so as bath panel sits on the floor tile. Same with this boxing where...
Hello Everyone!
First off, let me thank everyone for all the wonderful knowledge and more importantly, wisdom, on this forum. I am a DIY'er and not even much of that, I work in IT and well, I think that says it all. That being said, I'm hiring a family friend to remodel 2 bathrooms in my home...

Hi all,
Just wanting some advice on tilling onto a plaster boarded stud wall around a shower and bath area.
I have just pulled all the existing tiles off the wall and over boarded the exiting plasterboard as it has become weak and floppy. I’m just using standard 10mm white boards.
I am...
