Hi guys just wondering if any of the more expereicned tilers on here could help advise on what sort of strip to use between the tile on boxing and tue bath pictures attached.
I was thinking of using a round edge tile trim chrome what do you guys suggest.
Thanks
I'd appreciate your suggestions on preparation for tiling over my bath.
Photo shows the old bath. The new bath will be in by the end of the week. The soil pipe will be boxed in to the width of the bath using Aquapanel, and a mixer shower and concealed bath valves will be attached to it.

Hey all,
My walls slightly out for the bath. If I push the short end flush with the wall the bottom end comes out 15mm away from the wall. I'm gonna chase the wall to fix this.
But am just wondering if it's best to chase the short or long end and why?
Thanks for your time
Hi there, I am after advice on tiling under a heavy freestanding bath. I have a suspended timber floor and am going to fix 6mm cement board over well screwed down and plenty of noggings floor. Is the norm to tile the whole floor, then put the freestanding bath on top of the tiles? Or fit bath...
Hi all,
Apologies if this has already been answered elsewhere.
I am tiling the outside of my bath and wanted a curved trim on the corner to avoid sharp corners and match the corner curve of the bath. I was wondering if there are any particular trims that I should use? I have had a look around...
Hi all
I am currently looking to tile bath to ceiling in my house as I'm installing a shower above the bath. I've tiled floors but this would be my first wall.
Current setup.. sheet of plywood behind 12.5mm moisture resistant plasterboard. It is screwed into the ply all over the shop and has...
Hi guys,
Happy new year.
First time posting here think the forum is a fantastic source of information and advice.
Doing a bathroom in bevelled metro tile. The bath tub is level so would you choose to start the layout with a full tile from Bath up (I'd still start tiling one tile above and...
Two previous tilers left mouldy plywood (and 2x1 underneath fixed atop the 2x2 base).
I've ripped it off and what i'm left with is:
it's 1285mm x 310mm. The back is 40mm to the bottom of the tiles. The front is 35mm to the bath level.
I've got 150mmx150mm tiles to go on it.

Hi, i am looking to tile around a shower over a bath. Walls are tanked and ready but i didnt consider the level of the bath. Using a spirit level the bath is slightly uneven or maybe the floor has dropped a little, the bubble is within the lines but more to one side.
Measuring from bath to...
The bath is about 15mm less than the space from wall to wall that it sits in. I was going to just put a upvc bullnose trim or a bit of quadrant on the top and that would fix most of it, but how do you address the vertical gap at the end of the bath panel, especially and the panel has a slight...
Hi, looking at the below pic as example.....if you were to tile over a bath with a shower over it....would you necessarily tank the area tiled or is it not that essential as it may not get direct water hit. I would assume the builders used plasterboard. also would the Silicon used to seal...
Hi all,
I usually tile down to to the top of baths after fitting them, but in this situation the bath is an exact fit in the space it's in, and has a plastic side panel.
If I tile down to it, then the tiles down the sides of the bath will stop the bath panel from being removed afterwards...

Hi all
My large format beige tiles are on the wall.
My suite and cladded ceiling are white and I'm ready to grout with Mapei jasmine grout.
I intend to use matching jasmine Silicon on internals with clear (dow) Silicon around silverware.
However I would like to get some opinions / preferences...
Hi guys,
I've just seen a nice bathroom recently tiled and the bath is really quite wide, but I guess thats the way modern baths may be going...anyway, I started to thin, how do you tile the wall above a bath...I was told on a course to stand on a a frame platform but what if the bath is quite...
Hi,
We removed a single row of tiles when replacing the bath and want to fill with different tiles that are deeper than the original and rest of the tiles. However the plaster is very sandy (or is it cement as 1960s house?) and some has come off so I want to be careful about not removing too...
Might be barking up the wrong tree here but can anyone recommend a good supplier that can provide a bespoke marble bath deck to go over a undermounted bath?
I'm based near Crawley in West Sussex if that helps?!
Thanks in advance!
So Iwas just wondering as ive seen it and done it both ways, but Is it best to fully tile the walls where the bath will be fitted? Or fit the bath onto fully tiled walls?
what is the best practice?
What would be your opinion if you were the customer?
