Good afternoon. I hope you don't mind me asking a couple of quick question to get your views on this. I always tank wet areas using the ardex tanking system. Would you still tank the bath/shower areas if wedi board has been used to board these areas out. I've never fixed to wedi board before. I...

As above......I have 18m2 of floor to bring up by 30mm to the same level as an adjoining floor. Insulated boards would seems the obvious way to go followed by SLC.
But to work out the depth of the insulation I need, I need to work backwards from the minimum depth of SLC over the insulated...

I have asked this question elsewhere probably in the wrong forum though.
Should I sit the wedi boards on top of the marmox showerlay tray or butt the tray up to the boards which will be mounted floor to ceiling. The joints will be sealed with wedi 610 and SA waterproof tape either way I...
What's everyone's preferred method of securing loose wire element to insulation board before slc?
obviously tape, but I think personally it covers too much floor.

But I also have to secure the 12 mm cement board to metal stud framing.
Which screws do people advice please to use, to...

I need to make up just over 20mm & have 10mm CTD contract boards.

Any pit falls or is it a no no.
Hello
I am new to the forum and would appreciate some expert advice.
The question is: Is there some kind of self-leveling compound that can be used ON TOP of Marmox boards.
Having just knocked down a dividing wall, I find that one floor (already insulated with Marmox) is LOWER than the other...

Just wondering what we all use to fix plasterboard when spot fixing (dot & dabbing).
Do you prefer using tile adhesive or drywall adhesive?
I mostly use bagged cement tile adhesive as I don't like contaminating my buckets!!!

Hello. Not posted here for a couple of years. And am a bit dejected to say the least. So -
What's the general opinion regards Tanking Cement Boards when they are fitted in a bathroom containing a shower enclosure? To clarify, I'm not talking about when they are fitted in a wetroom.
Thanks, Grouch.

Has anyone tiled onto these? and if so what addy did you use? Contractor says that they've used these in the past and found that a normal spf addy struggled to set onto them so he's keen to use a rapid set. I phoned kudos and they said that a normal spf is fine. I don't fancy using a rapid set...
I have read that the alkali in the cement board can slowly rust a screw over a period of time.
The screwfix turbo gold screw says it is zinc & yellow passivated for double corrosion resistance.
Could I please check if this screw is OK to use to fix cement boards?
Or should I be using the...
