I have prepared by 600mmx600mm polished porcelain tiles and have screwed down 18mm ply onto the old chipboard to reinforce it.
Thing is the old chipboard wasn't that level, now that I have the tiles ready I can lay them out to see the scale of the problem. I have attached pics...

I had a nice lie in this morning then went to my tuesday job to level a bit of the dining room floor.
The customers have supplied everything so i used 4 bags of evostik levelling compound !!!!!!:yikes:
The house was high,the smell of this stuff was absolutely rotten!!!!!!!!!!

Hi, should you mix up slc a bag at a time, I recon i will need 3 bags, which is a lot to mix, unless i borrow a concrete mixer, hehe!!!:lol:
do you mix a bag spread it out and start again at another place.
any advice gratefully received.
Juat been and bought a load of self levelling compound and it says on the bag do not mix any more than you can use in 15 minutes. I have never used self levelling before - often no need on anhydrite.
It is going on sand cement screed and it will be primed with acryilic spray on primer...

It is a 2 part floor laying latex solution, you mix the grey powder and milk like liquid together then you just tip it on the floor and spread evenly and it more or less finds its own level...
