Hi there
Could anyone point me in the right direction please. Any special requirements for the slc? How would you create a perimeter for the slc. How to apply as well. Never used an slc what tool is best?
Thanks

Hi there. I'd like to tile my basement corridor which is slightly uneven brick and prone to damp spots. I wondered if there's a self-levelling compound that does the damp proofing stuff too? If not would I have to apply a damp proof membrane then self-level (please don't tell me I'd have to add...

I've got a conservatory floor to tile which itself is a straightforward job, its level & 98% smooth. However, the floor sits exactly 45mm below the level of the adjoining floor and the customer would like it as close to this as possible, we agreed a 5mm difference would be ok. They have the...

Hi all
I have been told that new cement/plaster needs 4 to 6 weeks to dry before tiling. Is this the same for leveling compound? or can i tile the next day?
I bought some non latex based SLC from B&Q and it says on the packet to use pva as a primer before applying the SLC.
I'm a bit concerned that I'm only applying SLC to patches and there will be overspill of pva on other areas wher ther will be tiling and I've read here that tiling and pva...

Looking at a floor on Monday that kitchen fitter reckons is "a bit rough" after tiles have been removed (by someone else).
My questions are regarding self levelling compound. Never used the stuff before, but think I need to learn sharpish.
Is it OK to use if units are in, but kickboards are...

I've just knocked my toilet and bathroom into one room and discovered the 2 floors are slightly different heights.
I want to use a self levelling compound to bring the (old) toilet side up to the same level as the bathroom.
There has been some form of thin layer applied to the floor to stick...

Can you use self levelling cement on a floor once you've ripped out a previous floor tiling job to make it right for the new job?
This has to be quicker than chipping away at uneven cement right?
If so presumably you have to swish it about to make sure it gets inall the gaps.
