Hey, I did a plan of how I will lay my tiles. I found one cut that seems tricky. I highlighted the cuts in green. How would I need to go about cutting that shape, how would you do it without breaking/chipping the tile?
Morning tool geeks,
I've a porcelain floor to remove from around a very expensive kitchen this week and I'm looking for a high quality diamond multi tool blade that will cut through porcelain enough to enable me to break out corner pieces from around units.
or does anyone have a different...
Hi
I am having the kitchen splashback re-tiled and there are a couple of corners. I really don't like tile trim and so we want the tiles mitred.
We plan to use metro tiles (flat rather than bevelled) but wanted to check these can be mitred. Our tiler said the tiles should be at least 8mm thick...

We are currently having our bathroom renovated, and I am becoming increasingly unhappy with the finish of the grout and the tile cuts. The installer, who claims to be a professional tiler, says that is the best finish that can be achieved on a cutout, as it needs to be done with an angle...
Fought this tile all day to get cut with sigma manual cutter and grinder with a porcelain blade. Most times Sigma worked but been a long time since I've broken so many, need a new cutter wheel in and porcelain blade needs renewed!! The tiles have a rough surface with carborundum kinda in them...
Just staring to cut marble mosaic tile squares – and need to cut them without crumbling, chipping and shattering - if possible?.
These are 300x300 sheets of 50mmx50mmx10mm squares cut into 3 sections of 2 (100mm wide) squares x 6 (300 long) @ 22.5 degree cut with factory plastic mesh on rear...
I dont know the answer to this so I'm going to ask.
So you've got your manual tile cutter and a wetsaw set up so why would you need to cut free hand with a hand held grinder pumping plummes of dust around the place or on the driveway?
What is the need for it?
Hi All - a client wants his newly screeded floor tiled and is seriously talking about using massive ones: 2.4m x 1.2m.
If any of you have worked with tiles that big, what saw/cutter did you use to cut them?
The client wants 2mm grout lines - do you think there'd be any problems with this...
Hi my names Paul, just joined this forum.
I've laid underfloor heating in my house - pipes covered in a liquid screed, and I've been looking for tiles to lay on top.
I'm in India at the moment and after visiting a lot of places I've seen some sheets of marble all from the same piece of...
I'm nearly finished tiling all bathroom, however Now I have these tricky bits left/small pieces etc. I have a good tile cutter (rubi) and good nipper as well (rubi),however I have no idea if I can cut out such a square out from a tile as it's not a single line?
I do not have the electric cutter...
Hi,
I'm going to be installing a 1200x900 Kaskade wetroom former, and overboard the floor with 6mm No More Ply (as per their recommendations).
Ideally I'd like to avoid the envelope cut needed with larger format tiles. But how big can I go with mosaics before I'd need diagonal cuts?
I've seen...
We have a bathroom renovation ongoing, and to cut a long story short I am not happy with the finish of the grout and the tile cuts. The installer (not a full-time professional tiler - yes I know, slap!) says that is the best finish he can achieve as it is a ceramic tile, and its because its a...

hello,
I have no idea how to make the ends marry up nicely here, I followed a video - but i think the profile is slightly different on the trim I have.
It is 6mm genesis branded rounded edge trim if that helps.
I can get 6mm quadrant pieces - but these are hard to find in stock and will have to...

Cut any shape INSIDE a tile with the brand new PORSABLADE innovation.
It's not just a diamond jigsaw blade. Its a system to get you right inside the tile.
Perhaps a 600x300 where you need to cut an awkward shape. Cut holes bigger than 125mm.
£29.99 for the pack to include enough blade...

Hello,
New to this forum and I have done quite a bit of tiling in my life but I am not an expert by any means. I am trying to do the front landing of my steps in a v-shaped tile and am having a hell of a time with the corners. The problem I have is that the corner pieces are 32cm long where...

All. I'm trying to cut a 330 x 330 square tile diagonally into 4 pieces, to fit round a wetroom grid. Dry cutting doesn't give you a grout joint, so want to use wet cutter. On my cutter you can't use the guide, see photo, as the tiles too wide and at 460 diagonal its too wide for the bigger wet...
