Hi all - got a few projects on the go at present and while I have tiled before with some success I am not a qualified tiler. I'm always willing to take advice from the experts hence joining this forum and I look forward to taken on board your suggestions

all went down to Arlesford in Hampshire, to
spend the day with Uncle Bob,
aka @Lithofin BOB our resident mad scientist!
And all we got was this bloody t-shirt!
Oh and hat, and sandwiches and coffee and biscuits! :D
Turns out Bob's not a mad...
This is a dark area .what is considered amount of" meterage", generally needed to be done on day work .I know all work differs .but just on general "tiling" ?

We have had a company reschedule some of their guys to another date for attending our training days at Coalville. Therefore we have a few spaces available on the 5th February, which we are offering on a first come first served basis, these are FREE to attend.

I've been laying a utility floor today, cheapo grey rubbish Homebase ceramic ones - all different sizes and not one flat from one end to the other.
And to make it worse, the customer must have been in and out about 20 times just to check if I was ok, and needed anything or was it going ok etc...

I recently started looking at the health app on my phone and was quite surprised by how far I travel everyday. This is from today, looks like I've been up and down the stairs a few times!
well have been asked to test fixing to wet under floor heating pipe system with porcel thin so first i tested the tile to see how much movement it would allow before fixing so put two battens at each end of a 1200x600x4.8 giving a 150 mm loading each end then loaded the middle to test...
The 12m2 of 600x300 wall tiles that I put up yesterday in a bathroom has turned from being the best thing since sliced bread to suddenly overnight into being so unbearable that they had come back off(didn't like the white flecks in the beige,stone lookalike ceramic tiles):eek:
So hence the...
I know what will come next lol , who gets a day off lol lol..
But what's a tilers day off entail , is it paperwork or taking the wife shopping lol... Or just a good old chill out...
Had a great day today at Grespania UK with a few other guys on here. They were demonstrating their Coverlam range of tiles, Which I think there are great possibilities for there use

I'm a DIY tiler, done a fair bit of wall tiling but will be laying some 600x600 floor tiles for the first time in the hall soon.
I'll be need some guidance to make sure I get everything as level as possible.
