So over last few weeks I along with @Mark Frost have been on a project that @jonnyc had invited me on to.
A new build in leafy Surrey, consisting of two extraordinarily large ensuites, his and hers, a downstairs cloak and a pool room bathroom to be done in a few weeks time.
All in Flaviker 2.4...

Hello everyone,
I don't pretend to be a professional anything... just a 'competent DIYer', always willing to listen and learn. I am patient, appreciate the importance of good planning and have an eye for detail.
I am currently fitting a new bathroom and have reached the tiling stage.
I want...

Hi
I'm desperate to find some matching floor tiles, otherwise I might have to rip up the old tiles and start again.
I kept 3 just in case some broke, but the wife wants to remove some units, which I never thought would happen, so I need more that the 3 spares
I think the tiles were purchased...

I got a cheap wet saw after reading good reviews and the results are disappointing. It's a 750W Erbauer one and it leaves a lot of chipping.
One of the biggest issues I have is with breaking the corners of my tiles. They are 300x600 and there's a lot of friction between them and the table. I...

As you've all been very helpful so far, I thought I'd 'repay' you by sharing a few pics of what the previous owner had done to the bathroom I'm now ripping out...
I know you're all fans of a bit of dot and dab...

Are they good for the tiling industry ???
In general they make a positive impact to the tiling economy but a negative and financial impact to the end user
A bad job usually results with the customer either ripping it all out and starting again or employing a tiler to try fix the problems or...
Apologies if this is done to death already, but I've had a search and cant find anything...
I'm going to be tiling my bathroom & ensuite in the coming weeks and need a cutter.
Tiles will be something like 300x500x10mm ceramics.
I was thinking of the Rubi Star Max 51 which is £90 in screwfix...

Hi everyone
I've had some tiles for a good 9 months lying around waiting to be put up by my husband in my new kitchen (just a splash back). Now 2/3 of my children are in school or pre school I was thinking of doing it myself as I am fairly diy competent, have some more time on my hands now and I...

Hi there, I've been emailing tile companies and none seem to be able to offer me any advice on my query. So I thought I'd ask the experts in here!
I'd like to tile the lid/top (hinged to access record player) and base of a hi-fi cabinet that I've renovated. As far as I could see it's either...
Getting excited now.I'm off to diy sos in Swansea on Monday to join the team and meet loads of people helping out on a new project.anyone on here going along ?
Hello, how do I go about tiling this area (photos attached)? I need to tile it before the fitter returns.
The panel is screwed on but hasn't been plastered. Do I need to level it up with filler? How do I tile around the gaps near the valve? I am concerned about it being waterproof.
Thanks, Jim
Hello again guys, Took up all my laminate and the floor is pretty iffy, obviously done by cowboys.
Some parts are not level which I'm told I can level those parts with 'thin set' also is very squeaky but not that bouncy. How would I get rid of the squeakiness?
What is the best course of action...
Hi All
I got these tiling bits today, and from the forum sponsors Protiler tools.
Not very exciting to you perhaps, but I got those three 9mm quadrant trims and a big bucket of lash clips all delivered (next day) at the same price as just the trims locally from B&Q/Topps - so hopefully I should...

Pity about this but I tried to get a few photos but got thrown out for not getting their permission! Was on holiday and was walking through a shopping centre that was getting a refurb. There were a group of tilers doing a large floor with large format tiles. Some were mixing and pouring slc on...

Hi all, I'm David, retired from teaching and now part way through renovating a property. I have tiled, both wall and floor, in the past but just preparing to try 300 x 600 porcelain wall tiles for the first time (just like Ian Marsh who joined the forum earlier today) so will be reading posts...
