Hi Guys. I had my cloakroom floor tiled about two years ago (in polished black ceramic tiles). This year the hallway has been tiled in a polished white tile. I am now having the door to the cloakroom replaced - and would like to move it so it swings the other way. This would leave me with...
Looking for a door threshold that is over 3m in length.
Done a favour for a builder i know and laid some marble, after boarding out and with the height of the tiles they are now sitting 18mm above the meeting laminate. Looked everywhere for one but no joy, suggested a ramped timber varnished to...

I've nearly finished tiling my bathroom with large format 60 x 30 porcelain tiles. Its taken me a while but i'm finally getting there.

My door frame is...
i have been asked to do a tiling job, my queery is this ,,with the height of ply ,adhesive, and tile ,the height is quite a lot ,when tiling up to a door, i would try to finish my tiles halfway under the door up to the carpet, which means trimming door, not a job i would like to take responsibility...
Hi Guys, does anyone have a special technique for tiling round door frames? Like no wooden architraves. With some tiles/stone the outer edge of the architrave could be nearly buried or even below the finished wall level. Cheers, Dan:yes:

Hi, Went to look at a job today, kitchen splashback and a couple of other bits. Part of it involves tiling into the right hand door reveal however this is quite badly "bowed". Ideally i need to flatten this out. It bows outwards in the middle so it looks like this "(" as you look at the door...
Hi all
Do you supply these or leave it to the customer? Surely its hard to know what threshold to supply when you don't know what the new height of tiled floor will be (current floor coverings still down may need overboarding etc, customer hasn't chosen tiles) do you show the customer...
Just a quick note to apologise for not getting back to you all sooner regarding the 3 floor post, It seems my tiling is as quick as my posts!
I was away for a couple of days and then my wife was away, she was right when she says - "The kids are a full time job!" , my appreciation of her multi...

There was a thread a while back in which Dave talked about expansion strips for doorways - I can't find it now.
I need to know; I assume they are Schluter, but does anyone have a link to a web description and a rough price please???
Ta!

I went to quote a small bathroom floor. It is only 2 sq metres thought it was a straight forward one day rate as it is already boarded. The trouble is the existing wall tiling does not go down to floor level and falls short by 15mm in places. It is for this reason they want the floor re...
