I need to fit a frameless glass wetroom/shower panel. The channel is wall fixing, however there are 2 rows of bridge/pencil border tiles running around the room including in the shower area so the channel does not fit flush against...
Hi guys,
I'm fitting a plain mirror inset and flush into tiles in a wetroom (It will be a custom size mirror, which isn't ordered yet and tiling isn't yet started).
I've seen conflicting advice re the order to do this in. Some says to fit the mirror then tile around it. Others say to do the...
Hi,
Can I put a resin stone shower tray on top of hardifloor after boarding out - everything level , will it support or compress? Or should I cut around the tray?
Also when laying hardifloor I understand to leave a 2mm gap round fittings and walls, but do I leave the same gap between the...
Reading a post just now it was stated that a good tiler could be fully booked up 6 months in advanced.
Obviously thats great but what I was wondering is how much work would you be getting through to be booked up that long Like what m2 of tiles would you be fitting on average in a day ?
I'm...

Hello,
Thanks for looking at my question.
I am fitting a shower screen and I am not sure if I should fit the metal hinge to the shower screen and then finish the tiles to that and then finish the join with sealant. It may be easier tot get a goo fitting to the wall that way.
Or I could tile...

I have attached a picture of the rear of a 450 x 450 x 9 porcelain floor tile.
The ridges on the back seem super shallow compared with all the others I have ordered.
Should I query this with the supplier?
Hi everyone,
New to this forum, but having only read threads as a non member (very useful advice and tips, so many thanks!) thought I'd join up and try to get some advice on fitting my mosaic borders.
I've fitted large tiles leaving gaps for a mosaic.
So, 5mm adhesive + 10mm main tile = 15mm gap...
Is there a technique for doing this with metal edge trim?
Eg, is it best to tile the whole face of the wall, with all of the 4 window sides cut straight and square, being raised proud by a set distance to allow for the trim/adhesive and inner tiles to meet up squarely when fitted later?
If so...

Method 1 - Prime floors, use...

Just wondering if any of you guys or girls have priced up any stone tile fixing (labour only) at around the £100m2 mark or more?
I'm currently pricing up a job for some stone tiling and when I've approached some local stone layers for some help on the job a few of them have suggested that...
