Hi. I fitted 6mm hardie backer to the floor with thick quartz tiles on top of that. In the shower customer is having glass mosaics - only 8mm thick. Can I put Hardie Backer onto the shower tray (wet room type slopey thing not a ceramic tray) to bring the level up then tile that?

I've got 30x30 ceramics to tile onto chipboard in bathroom roughly an area of 6'x4'
