Hi all
We had a wet room installed 12 months ago and at the time we weren't happy with the work that was completed - so we withheld 5% from the total cost of the job (it was part of a complete loft conversion).
we've had constant problems with the wet room - photos below - and now water is...

Hi, I have been recently renovating my bathroom, and when taking down the drywall around the tub surround, I was surprised to see that my exterior wall was right there (drywall was held up by wood strapped to the exterior wall), and that there was mold on the exterior wall.
i removed the old...
We have a marble sink purchased from mandarin stone. Does anyone know the best cleaning products to use prior to sealing and installation?
Any ideas on sealants would also be welcome.
Thanks for taking the time!

I'm going to be installing marmox boards in my new bathroom onto the brick walls using the dot and dab and dowel fixing method but would just like to clarify what to do at the joints.
In wet areas I've read that you use the marmox waterproof sealing tape and dry/damp areas just self adhesive...
Hi all, first post so apologies if I don't get my questions quite right and ask too many; I am looking for some advice on a new shower enclosure project.
I am currently remodelling my main bathroom and plan to do most of it myself (except for the tiling.)
I am a reasonably experienced DIY'er...
Hi Guys, I'm an old boy, new to this forum & still learning on the job after 17 yrs! Good or bad time will tell, looks like I have just bought the same wet tray former kit as the man in the 'tiler made a mistake tiling a wetroom tray' thread(see pic)

Hi all,
We've been having a bit of a disaster with our renovation, specifically with the kitchen floor. We had a tiler in, however some of the tiles he has laid are a noticeably different shade to the others (see picture). I have since found out that this is due to them being from a different...

Hi,
I am installing a shower tray 1400x800 in a space the bath used to be. There are various pipes that sit above the floorboards which I can't really re-route.
I wanted to ask can I build a solid wooden frame secured to the floorboards and to the joists and ply over the top, then put the...

Hi
I am in the process of fitting a new En suite out and have recently bought a 2m2 heat mat with digital timer. So far I have chased through the walls, ran the electric feed to a fused spur (3A - it's only 150w rating) and ran conduit to the floor ready for the mats cables. The question I have...
hello
The floor is 18mm WBP Ply fixed to the floor joists.
Is it best to fit the hardie backer board over the whole floor, and then fit the shower tray onto the backer board, or fit the tray onto the ply floor then butt the backer board upto the edge of the tray?
Also, the tray instructions...

As a tile fitter only - as I don't get involved in room prep prior to tiling, would it be down to me to tape and fill joints between backerboards before tiling or would you expect the installer of the boards to complete this proces or inform me that this proces is required?
Can these large sheets of 2.5mm thick Whiterock panels be bent into a corner shape without the expensive former, it can it be done with a hot air gun on a bench?
Anyone experienced in installing Whiterock 2.5m/m pvc wall panel(type used in hospitals and kitchens 3mtrx 2mtr sheets), my question is what is the best adhesive, best application and where it is stocked. Thanks
apologies if this is in the wrong section.
When installing a resin/stone type shower tray, directly on a wooden floor, what do people use to keep it in place, adhesive/sealant etc.
Might add that it will be sitting on green chipboard, and I can't raise it up due to restricted headroom.
