    Tiled Floor Level Tolerance

Hi, I am buying a new build house and the snagging surveyor has raised an issue with some floor levels in a bedroom and 2 en-suite shower rooms, which are out of NHBC tolerance. The main issue is with a tiled floor that is off by 6mm over 2 metres. The build states that it is in tolerance...

Water not flowing to shower drain / Incorrect Fall Levels?

Hi, We have just done some bathroom modifications privately to level out a shower floor for an elderly disabled bathroom. We just did the shower area and not the whole bathroom (so only the pink tiles are new). The water is flowing outside of the shower, suggesting the fall levels are not...

    Batons, levels, trackers

hello lovely people, I currently use spirit levels with holes drilled in either end to secure to the wall to start my tiles from. However this is crap if I’ve tanked the area as I’m compromising the tanking. Same with timber batons. What are your views on the adjustable tile trackers? Vitrex...

    Spirit levels

While I have been in France for the last couple of weeks, I notice many of the local builders using a 40cm sized torpedo level. I used to have one many years ago but it got nicked and I haven't seen any for sale anywhere. The levels were great when fixing tiles into sand and cement as they...
