Hi all,
I’ve been asked to lift and replace some loose tiles (see picture).
The customer only has a few spares and has asked if it’s possible to lift the loose ones without breaking and refix them. The tiles are also butted up together. Is there any way this is possible?
Just for the record I...

Hi all.
I've recently just tiled bathroom floor using porcelain wood effect plank tiles down on aquapanel using mapei rapid adhesive from Screwfix.
I'll admit I didn't backbutter and used self levelling wedges. Now my issue is I've noticed some of the tiles 24hr later I can lift up that...
Hi all, I’m new to this and tiling! Looking for advice!
Basically we built a 30sqm extension on our house to move the kitchen into it so we could have a larger living space,
It was recommended to use underfloor heating in the extension and a cement based liquid screed! (Rest of the house is...
Hi,
the company that installed my UFH omitted to commission it. I found out about this step after tiling was done.
I want to take all measures in order to prevent any cracking/lifting, please offer me some advice.
Details of my setup:
- cement+sand screed laid April 2018
- around 20 sqm...
As per the title. Used for one project only and in as new condition. Paid £1038.o0 for it from pro-tiler a month or so ago. Hoping to get 75% of what I paid which equals £778.00.
I would really appreciate some advice from those who know more about tiling than myself.
We had an ensuite fitted in Feb 2017 - including tiling for recessed shower, backsplash around sink/toilet fitted units, and floor.
At the time of install, much of the work of the first tilers to complete...
My neighbour had an outhouse converted to a utility room with a new back entrance. The place was built in the 1940s and I suspect the concrete floor has no DPM. The people who converted it did a generally poor job (I’ve already done remedial work on the roof and guttering for them).
The issue...
Morning,
Can someone tell by looking at these images why the tiles have loosened. Laid on floorboards with 12mm Hardie screwed down on a bed of cement based adhesive. I'm confident floor itself is sound. Tiles are 300 x 500mm ceramic wall/floor and laid using slow set adhesive. It seemed to...
can anyone tell me which are the best single suction cups, I’ve been using an old one when needed but it’s time for a couple of nice ones. I’ve seen some that work on un even surfaces..

so I'm currently undertaking a project at the moment with 1800 x 800 x 10mm Florim porcelain.
This tile is harder than Ray Winston and Bob Hoskins rolled in to one! :)
Anyway my point is that it's extremely brittle, as hard as it is.
One piece in particular was giving me sleepless nights when...
