    Hi all. When fixing the first lot of tiles - Why do I see people "baton" the wall for the first set..?? Why do you not start from the bottom & tile upwards? Or is it just a preference people use? Thanks

    Johnson's PRG1 - grout line

    Got the PRG1 10x20 tiles for the bathroom. Would like thin grout lines. Think johnsons recommend 3mm, but would like 2mm or (possibly 1.5mm). Think 2mm should be ok, 1mm too small, but maybe I'd get away with 1.5mm. Shower is tanked. Thoughts? 2mm for prudence? Tiles are all the same batch...

    hair line cracks on wall tiles

    I have just tiled a shower using rapid set Mapei cement and 150mm * 70mm white bonded tiles onto a soid ashlar wall. Having grouted with grey grout I can see that about 10 tiles have hairline cracks. Two of these cracks continue across two tiles so would dictate that cracks were not on the tiles...

    Rubi ND180 Basic Line --pilde of poo

    Anyone else got one of these, i thought being rubi it would be good, but after cutting 3 tiles the water tray needs topping up, the guide sucks, and the bottom blade guard is always filling up with muck, my little plasplug one was better :thumbsdown: pile of poo not plide !
