approx 65 sq mts ditra mat .
It was fixed on top
Of an anhydrite screed for a day using tilemaster seta flex white adhesive to fix and top filled in with same adhesive .
There are remnants of adhesive on back but can still be used if fixed with 6 mm notch . Originally fixed with 4.5 mm notch

Hi
Started a job today and been thrown a few curve balls.
Customer had tiles cracking grout breaking up (builder said he could do the tiling). Customer said half the tiles had been fixed to concert and half to floor boards. Sounded like a simple tear up, secure floor boards, fix Hardie backer...
The problem
Most of us have had some experience of the damage that can be caused when tiled bathrooms and wet areas are not sealed properly against intrusive water and moisture. Unsightly damp patches constantly re-appear on the ceiling in the room below your bathroom, not to mention the...
A friend has some polished porcelain floor tiles in his hallway. They have been steam cleaned a number of times and now seem to have areas or patches that appear matt.
Have added a pic, but it's not easy to see as it only shows in certain light. Any ideas as to how this could be remedied - if at...
I have used uncoupling mats before, but not extensively. It's only maybe the last 18 month or 2 years that my local tile shop has stocked them.
When do you personally use an uncoupling mat and when don't you? Materials and substrate.. I understand what lateral movement is, but I have seen...
Hi all,

Hello,
I'm looking to get some Dural Durabase CI Matting to be laid on a screed floor beneath porcelain tiles.
I am brand new to this and wondered if there is a difference between CI, CI+ and CI++? I have seen them all for sale and wondered what the difference is...
Also if anyone has any...
I'm fitting a walk in shower this week and it is the first i've done!
I'm read up and taken in all of the information on here i hope. I've pulled the existing sub floor up to install the drains and move pipe work and for ease I was going to ply and over board with PCS boards.
The former tray...

Hi,
We have a 55 square metre kitchen that we want to tile with 80cm x 50cm limestone tiles. We have NO UFH.
80% of the room is a newly screeded floor (extension) which is perfectly level (to within the tolerance of an 8 foot level placed in various places). The screed is dry having been...
Hi everyone and a happy new year to you all.......I'm just after a second opinion here regarding fixing some 600 x 600 polished porcelain on top of Schluter ditra matting please.
The floor ( 100mm sand & cement screed ) is fairly flat but not perfect was laid on the 9th November, I just wanted...
I am a customer not a tiler!
My architect wants to lay limestone tiles directly on to the screed which is a sand and cement mix with the UFH pipes in it. This is laid on a solid concrete base. The screed has SBR and some fibres in it. My worry is that the limestone tiles with all their natural...

Hi guys, have not got round to tiling the bathroom and kitchen floor and was wondering how high the finished tile height will be once completed? Tiles are 9mm thick and I will be using the Schluter Ditra as recommended.

Perhaps one for @SchlüterSystems themselves to answer.
When was ditra first made and used?
Is that tiling job still down?
Was it the first of its kind?
And just one for the hell of it - what was your first pets name and the name of your first street? (we get your 'acting' name then don't we...
Builder has laid u/f heating on insulation boards and then latexed in a small (3sq.m) upstairs en-suite. Would it be OTT to lay Ditra matting before fixing porcelain tiles?
