Hi All
Went back to a customer to help programe theyre xstat 24hours ago. I told them to leave it on overnight because I understand that it can take a while to heat up. The job was completed 2 weeks ago. I had layed the warmup matting on 6mm Hardibacker on floor boards, 30x60 10mm granite...
1. The substrate must be free of bondinhibiting components, load bearing, and even. Any unevenness in the substrate must be levelled prior to the application of Ditra.
2. The type of bonding adhesive used to apply Ditra depends on the type of substrate. The adhesive must bond to the substrate...
Note on movement joints:
Ditra must be seperated at the existing movement joints. If Ditra is used as a waterproofing layer, the joints between the sheets must be covered with Schluter -KERDI-FLEX band.
Movement joints must be continued in the tile covering, as specified by the applicable...

can we have a poll on which brands of sound proof matting are the most popular I have only used the pci one but I know there are others on the market now
Has anyone used SLC to fill Ditra? I'm wondering if this would work - whether it would run into the holes fully. If it did work it would save a lot of time on bigger jobs and be more cost effective than filling with adhesive. I usually go over with a loose mix of adhesive first and allow to dry...

Dear all
I am new to this forum, hopefully someone could help me on this. For my bathroom I am going to fix the Hardibacker 12mm on to the metal stud and then tile on it. My question is that the Toppstile guys told me to use Homelux Waterproof Matting (Waterproof Wall Matting 5M2) between...
I’m currently working on my own kitchen floor. I asked our builders to lay the 18mm ply 20mm below the hallway floor level. Of course, when I got home I found that it was laid at the same level as the hall. I have now primed the ply and stuck down 6mm insulation boards with flex rapidset. I then...
Got to look at a job tomorrow where a wet room has been stripped of tiles and a "rubber matting" is remaining. I am guessing that this is something like the Homelux matting that can be used to tank rooms. This has been in situ for about 8 years. I dont know anything else at the mo (substrate...
i am tiling a walk in shower 1450 x 850, on new skimmed ordinary p/bd.i went to topps to ask for a tanking kit and they recommended homelux matting. i can get two runs horizontally across the two walls where water splashes and the third wall where i walk in ,just tile the wall w/o matting.

I am going to use ditra matting to decouple a tarmac base from travertine mosiac floor tiles as the previous job had resulted in hairline cracks in the tiles. Can anybody recommend the right compound to bed the matting onto? I was then going to use SPF to bed the tiles down on to the matt
Thanks
please can some one enlighten me.
I priced a job which I'll more than likely get as I know them very well. they have some matting that they want put down all around the shower to waterproof it. how is this done? is it like this...
Last year I stumbled across a mat system which took a micro-bore pipe for plumbed underfloor heating.
Like an ***, I forgot to bookmark it!
Anyone any idea what it was?
Thanks!
