Hello all,
Its my first attempt at a 3-way mitre trim like here:
I have followed a how-to guide on here and on youtube but i just cant get it right!!! Can someone help or shed any light why i am so stupid??? (haha!)
I received one of these last week, as I have a job this week that needs a lot of mitring as the clients do not want any trim. Just so I'm not ruining any expensive tiles, I thought I'd have a little practice before unleashing it on a paid job! I tried it on a polished porcelain, a low grade...
Hi, I am trying to mitre cut my mosaic tiles with my angle grinder using silverline stone grinding disc, but as you can see it is chipping on the edge. I tried it on my wet saw, but due to size of tile, it doesnt "sit" on the table and result is same.
Should I buy some better disc or any other...

Have two 3 way mitres to do into my kitchen window/sill 3 courses high into the returns,i am using 9mm square metal trim,am i right in thinking the way to do it is to cut the two horizontal pieces for the external corner as a normal mitre and the vertical piece with square cut end just buts up?.
Just took delivery of the Quansol mitre box cant believe i've never got one before great piece of kit thanks to the lads for steering me in the right direction .

Any tips for doing an external mitre on the dw24000 with tiler larger than 330mm, ive found i need to cut the tiles face down then to stop tile chipping, place another tile bellow it.... just wonder what you guys do?
I've had an enquiry asking me to make something like these for porcelain tiles:-
They cut a mitre into the edge of a tile in one process.
Here is a video of how they work:-
Questions:-
Would this be of interest to many?
What size would be most useful? I was thinking 12mm would cover most...

Hi GaryC,
I like the mitred edge...I think it looks stylish and is more practical than trim. I'm actually working on an invention which will make cutting mitred edges a whole lot simpler. It's called the Mitre Wiz and it attaches to any grinder. You simply run it along the edge of a tile and it...
Hi everyone, just wondering if anyone mitre cuts tiles around external corners or does everone use tile trim? Im tiling light & med travertine and I have a reasonable tile cutter but not sure what to do, advice would be appreciated.
Can it be done? Have been following the instructions in the 3-way mitre thread but can't seem to get it right, which leaves me wondering if it doesn't work properly unless the trim is a full quadrant..? It couldn't be my lack of skill, of course.....!! :-)
Thanks in advance for your input...
