hi guys,
i'm currently working on a hi-spec house in mayfair and the client wants all joints to be mitre joints.
the tiles are marble and are 600x300. my current cutter is not up to the job as it is too small and the resulting cuts are hit and miss.
need to speak to the site manager tomorrow...
how an earth do u do these a while ago someone posted up pics on how to do these but i couldnt view can someone please help i have a job on and mitre s are coming up soon
after having the boring task of setting up my other master tiler i thought rather shortly and softly about the way the mitre table moves. it does infact move forward before shunting out of control, so i reckon a matchstick pushed into the far end of the bottom of the table will stop it moving...

Tile Trim (metal) is becoming very popular in NZ making mitre cutting a very important part of my jobs.
What is the best mitre box out there in the UK for cutting both PVC & Metal Trims? any ideas on where I can get a good one?
Can anyone recommend a manual cutter thats good at doing mitre cuts at a 45 degree angle?
Could do with a more portable one - doesnt have to have a large cutting area.
It must save a fair bit of time cutting a tile at an angle rather than cutting it straight and then putting an angle on it...

If someone wants tiling around a window but doesn`t want trims then i guess you mitre the tile edges to 45deg, however, if you have a tile on the wall where the top right corner of the tile needs cutting...

Doing a job tomorrow and the customer phoned me before saying they have changed there mind and no longer want trims, also added they do not want mitre cuts either, just tile touching tile. It is a bathroom and the cuts i am talking about are around a window which is 1sqm.
