Will this need now to be skimmed or can the tiles be applied immediately to this surface with some good adhesive? Is a mesh of some sort required for alignment?
The tiles...

Not sure if these images will work but I have tiled my kitchen splash backs with hexagonal mosaic ceramic tiles. I have tried cutting the tiles with a nipper but the tiles just crumble and I wouldn't be able to get a decent edge on any of them to make worthwhile doing. I have grouted the first...

Had a customer come back today and say that the tiler says that the mosaics we supplied weren't right ? These were 48x48 cubes on a 30x30 sheet,There was one cube on each sheet a millimetre closer than the rest ! Would you send your customer back with this or would you overcome this ?
I have read about trowels for mosaics on walls, around 3/4mm but wondering if this this still applies when using mosaics on the floor. The tiles I got are 5mm thick (see photo). Thanks.
