Hello again guys, Took up all my laminate and the floor is pretty iffy, obviously done by cowboys.
Some parts are not level which I'm told I can level those parts with 'thin set' also is very squeaky but not that bouncy. How would I get rid of the squeakiness?
What is the best course of action...

It feels like there is a constant asking about the suitability of cement board in wet areas.
"Will they be ok in my wet room?" "Should I tank them?" etc etc etc
Can I attempt to clear up the confusion - much of which comes from the manufacturers and the builder's merchants who sell the stuff...
Hi all,
Just curious to know what people think about using wedi board on floor boards/bathroom floors.
I currently use no more ply 6mm glued and screwed.
My local supplier does not stock no more ply but has got wedi board 6mm/12mm.
Would the wedi board do a good job as no more ply or is there...

One of my suppliers is going over from stocking Hardie to NMP
So I am in the process of looking up info on NMP and comparing the two if that is possible.
Now most people are aware of the fact that you have to be careful when cutting Hardie as regards the dust when cutting the boards. But there...

Evening all, me again!
Just primed (3 to 1 sbr) one side of a sheet of my backer board in preparation for putting some up tomorrow and it has warped! I can press it flat to the wall but it has me concerned. How much warp is too much? Is this normal?
Thanks!

I tend to use no more ply for bathroom floors. The mega strength adhesive is quite expensive, I just wondered if anybody else uses flex tile adhesive to put this down or any alternative like grip fill??? would this have the same results as no more plys product.
Cheers.
I have always used 6mm Hardi backer board on timber floors, but since my local B and Q no longer stock it I bought some 6mm No More Ply from Tile Giant.
My method of laying the NMP was as follows....New 22mm chipboard flooring fitted to joists, all glued and screwed floor had no deflection solid...
