I will be fixing a vein cut 915 x 305 travertine to en-suite shower room walls.
I'm not sure that I want to go with a straight forward brickbond pattern and have been toying with the idea of a random style.
Has anyone tried this on walls or will it look rubbish?

About to embark on 30 m2 of porcelain floor tiles (18x18,12x12&6x6's) in a modified hopscotch pattern. It's the first time I have done tiling in a pattern and not sure how to start. I would normally use a chalk line etc but I think the only thing I can with this job is to start in the far corner...

1 centering it up. one row will have more than half a tile at the end of the wall but the next row up will have less than half a tile or even a thin peice which would then be every other row;.
